4. Service Use and Tracking Technologies
Storage
Discovering Prayer and our analytics partners use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts to recognise your device and store preferences. These technologies help us to provide a better user experience and track usage patterns. For example, our Products recognise when you have already completed authentication so you don't need to do it for every page requested.
We use local storage to store some information. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on the Products may also use local storage to store information.
Cookies
Cookies, also known as tracking cookies, are small text files that are added to your computer when you visit a website. They help websites to perform certain functions, such as knowing who you are if you log into a restricted part of a website, for shopping carts, and for tracking purposes.
Discovering Prayer uses the following cookies:
- Session cookies are used on the website to enable you to have a consistent user experience, for example, to avoid the need to re-authenticate on every request.
- Analytics cookies from third parties on the website for tracking purposes. These cookies allow us to understand general traffic to our website, for example, the number of visitors and length of time on site. This process collects data, but in an anonymous form, to help us make improvements, develop the website, and enhance the user experience. Third-parties we use include:
- Facebook – to communicate with our following and promote Discovering Prayer
- Google – to promote Discovering Prayer
- Active Campaign – to send emails
Manage Cookies
If you would like to opt-in or opt-out of using cookies, you should be able to do so using your browser. You can review your cookie settings at any time. Please note that you cannot opt out of the deployment of cookies that are necessary for the delivery of our website or services to visitors.
Advertising
We partner with third parties, such as Facebook, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console, to manage our advertising of the Products on other sites or platforms. Our third-party partners may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities within the Products to deliver such advertising to you, such as retargeting ads. We use third-party trackers to let us know when users have visited the Products by clicking through our sponsored advertising or content hosted on third-party platforms.
Statistical Analytics
We use Google Analytics to gather statistical information about your use of the Products. Through website cookies and mobile app tokens, our use of Google Analytics helps us understand overall usage and performance patterns of Products so that we can continue to improve them. For more information on how Google Analytics processes this information, visit www.google.com/analytics and for Google’s privacy policy visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Detailed Analytics
We collect detailed data to allow us to better understand the usage and performance of the Products, and to offer you a customised experience. We record information such as how often you use the Products and the events that occur within the Products. We may link the usage information we collect to any personal information you submit to us so that we can customise and optimise your use of the Products. This detailed analytics information is stored on secure servers operated by Discovering Prayer, and by third-party services that we use to operate the Products.
Third Parties we use include:
- Active Campaign - to send you email newsletters
- PayPal – to take and make payments
- Stripe – to take and make payments
Log Files
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information and automatically store it in log files. This information may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.
If you receive the HTML-formatted version of our email newsletter, your opening of the newsletter is notified to us and saved. Your clicks on links in the newsletter are also saved. These, and the open statistics, are used in aggregate form to give us an indication of the popularity of the content and to help us make decisions about future content and formatting. We currently use Active Campaign software to send emails. They store your email address securely. Here is Active Campaign’s privacy policy: https://www.activecampaign.com/legal/privacy-policy.
5. Where We Store Your Personal Information
All information you provide to us through the Products is stored on your device, on secure servers located in Europe and the USA. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology; all payment information is stored with our payment processor and is never stored on Discovering Prayer’s servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Products, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone and suggest that you change your password frequently.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to the Products; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
6. Single Sign-On
You can log into our Products using sign-in services such as those offered by Google, Apple, or Meta. These services authenticate your identity, provide you with the option to share certain personal information (such as your name and email address) with us, and to pre-populate our sign-up form.
7. Access to and Deletion of Personal Information
You may access and change your personal information at any time via an online account, or by emailing help@discoveringprayer.com. To request the deletion of your personal data that we have on file, please email us at help@discoveringprayer.com. We will respond to your request in a reasonable timeframe.

If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (email or in-Product communication) with information about products and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to companies that host advertisements on our behalf, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 women aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day).
9. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose your personal information to third parties as follows:
- In some circumstances, based on your specific requests, we may need to disclose your personal information to a third party so that they can provide a service you have requested from such a party, or fulfil a request for information from such a party.

We require all third-party consultants and companies we work with to adhere to the same standards described in this privacy policy when handling your personal data.
- If Discovering Prayer’s service providers (like hosting, market analytics, and payment service providers) require this information to provide services to Discovering Prayer. Discovering Prayer requires each of its service providers to agree to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information disclosed.
- If Discovering Prayer or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets.
- If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information to comply with any legal obligation such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process, or to enforce or apply our agreements with you; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Discovering Prayer, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

These features may collect your Internet protocol address, and which page you are visiting on our Products, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Products. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it.
