Digital Marketing and Online Community Executive, Part-Time

Discovering Prayer’s vision is to inspire everyone to have a joyful and fulfilling relationship with God. We do this by providing guided Christian prayer and meditation online. Discovering Prayer has a small high calibre team and our patron is Bishop Colin Fletcher.

Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic digital marketing and community professional to join our small, friendly team that’s making a positive difference to people’s lives. 

The role is varied, and you will be responsible for various aspects of digital marketing and community engagement, to increase awareness of Discovering Prayer and ensure that those who take part know that they are valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor Discovering Prayer’s presence on social media (Twitter, Facebook) using social media platform (Meet Edgar) 

  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns and organize their distribution using our CRM system (Active Campaign)

  • Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of web analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics 

  • Provide engaging text, image (and in the future video) content for social media accounts

  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner

  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback

  • Accurately upload audio prayers and written material to our content management system (Drupal)

  • In the future, to launch optimized online adverts through Facebook to increase company and brand awareness

Requirements:

  • Christian faith (a genuine occupational requirement since the post holder will write Christian social media content)

  • Proven experience as Digital Marketing/Community Executive or transferable skills

  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices

  • Experience with B2C social media and email campaigns

  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Skills and experience in creative content writing and strong attention to detail

  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • BSc/BA in relevant field

Salary and Hours

£14 per hour, 6 hours a week, freelance. The post is based near Oxford city centre. From September there is scope for the hours to increase.
